Achal Das Bohra (December 22 , 1918 -February 17,2007) was a prominent Indian engineer, academecian,author,educator and philanthropist hailing from the town of jodhpur, Rajasthan.Bohra graduated at the top of his class in 1941 from Banaras Hindu University(BHU) in Varanasi,India with a double Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering.He also obtained 1st class certification from the City of Guilds of London Institute inDesign and Perfomance of Electrical Machinery and Transformers.From 1942 to 1946, after graduating from (BHU),Bohra was the chief engineer, works manager and production engineer for Jay Engineering Works,a German stove company based in Calcutta,India. Shortly thereafter,Bohra was first a founder,then a professor,and later a principal at MBM Engineering College in Jodhpur. Bohra was chief planning officer and principal director of commercial projects administration for the Planning Commision of the Government of India from 1952-62. Bohra was the founder-promoter of the MBM Engineering College,the Birla Institute Of Technology & Science in Pilani (BITS) and Mahila (P.G) Mahavidhyalaya College in Jodhpur,one of two women-only colleges in entire state of Rajasthan.Bohra was also in governing body of Lachoo Memorial College of Science & Technology in Jodhpur.

There is no jewel in the world comparable to learning and no learning as excellent as knowledge of law.Legal education is not only to know every section of law but also the basis of law and its spirit.Education is the prime requistie to know such rudiment of laws. Keeping this in view the first girls Law College was established at Jodhpur in 2003 under the auspices of Jai Narain Vyas Shikshan Sansthan with the motto that law is not only a profession but also a social service. .The college runs newly constructed building.The staff of Law college is well qualified,experienced and devoted to the institution.The results of the law college for last ten years are encouraging.prof.A.D.Bohra Memorial Women Law College has come a long way in a short time.The college has prepared about 150 law graduates.We are commited to provide unmatched quality of legal education.Our college encourages students to grow with the freedom to understand and realize their dreams as they visualze it.Our college prepares them as responsible legal professionals.We prepare law graduate with strong innovative minds.

Prof. A.D.Bohra Memorial Women Law college established in 2003 is the only Law college exclusively for women in the extreme belt of western Rajasthan.this college carries with it blessings and active support of legal luminous like former acting chief justice of Rajsthan and Senior Advocate of Supreme Court Sri M.R.Calla and former Dean & prof.M.K.Vyas.the most striking feature of this college is the strictly regular coaching by brightly professional and learned faculty coupled with an atmosphere & activities which are condusive for an all development of personality of a female lawyer or a Judge.

Life is a journey where every person has to walk,”Journey” becomes easy if it is “Equipped”.Equipped with education and it becomes more easy if someone studies law.Our college is imparting law education for women for last twelve years with a moto that ‘Every law student should know something about everything and everything about something’, therefore the college organizes extension lectures on various subjects other then law.
When we farewell our students we make them remind the oath which they take while taking admission in our college that “Law is not only a profession but a social service too”.
